Support
There’s loads of worthy things on planet Earth to donate to. If you’re interested, generally, in East Africa, food programs at elementary schools, assisting poor parents with school fees, or children’s dental hygiene, please consider contributing to my efforts to modestly but steadily improving the lot of the poorest people in the Luweero, Uganda area.
If the charity portion of your finances is already dedicated to something like your local children’s hospital, animal shelter, after-school program, arts initiative, food bank, or some other great cause, I wish every blessing on your donations. If you find my efforts in Uganda to be something you’d like to contribute to, please look at the different contribution options below.
Some have told me that they would like to have an easy, automated way to send $20 or so my way every month, then receive a story every so often that shows that it did some good. Others have told me they already have many "monthly" commitments, but would love to give a One-Time Donation, then receive the good stories as well. Others have told me they're dead broke, but would still love to read about how things are going.
Well, for virtually anyone who enjoys my writing, please sign up and you'll get your fill of it for free. There's no paywall or price tag, and I will do my level best to ensure it's edifying to the reader.
If you wanted to read my Stories from Uganda and offer some financial help, the Monthly and One-Time Options are just a click away.

Some Fun Smiles Out of Kasana Luweero

One Example: My friend Winnie and her Jajja (Grandma), who dug ditches to pay for Winnie's school fees until an infection took the sight out of her right eye a few months ago. (Just one of hundreds of examples I can give.)
Below is for $10/Month
Ten Dollars a Month

Another Example: Here are sisters Lulu and Rebekah, whose fathered was killed in an accident two years ago. Their mom works multiple jobs to keep them in school, but has to sacrifice paying nearly every domestic bill (and lives without light bulbs!) just to cover their fees.
Below is for $20/Month
Twenty Dollars a Month

Another Example: These three brothers have no father, and, because of that, their family can't send them to even the least expensive school in town. (That school only costs $20 per term, so $60 per year, if that's an indicator of their financial stress.
Below is for $40/month
Forty Dollars a Month

If you wanted to donate more than $40/month to my time in Uganda, please contact me and, trust me, I'll be happy to create an easy path. I have Zelle, Venmo, and can within a couple minutes make a new Stripe Item that automatically takes any given amount from a provided account once per month.

Below is the School Fees option, which has $100-$400 One-Time Payment Options. (Note: This is equivalent to using Zelle or Venmo. If those are preferred to this, I have those as well.)
If you are interested in helping but don't want anything continual or committed, this is an easy option. Click on the button, eliminate the "Quantity" down to what you'd like to give, and that's it. Your gift is deeply appreciated and will be put to prudent use.
Or, if we connected about a continued sponsorship of a specific student, this is typically the easiest route. There are three school terms in Uganda (since Summers and Winters do not exist here), so I'll personally remind via phone or email when the term begins for another Single Payment.
One-Time Contribution

If you would like to help the Luweero district, but want to donate a large sum and have it be tax-deductible, please peruse this website:

This integral ecological site is about 45 minutes away from where I stay, and I cannot speak highly enough of it. Notre Dame’s Emma Katongole and his brother Fr Joe Kakooza are amazing men of vision, and I anticipate BLI will continue to prosper for years to come.
